KS3 & GCSE only: I offer English Literature tuition from Year 7 to Year 11 — covering a range of texts, plays, poetry and exam-style questions.
At KS3, I support students as they build skills in literary analysis, learn how to identify devices and themes, and develop their ability to express thoughtful responses to texts. I help students move from basic comprehension to more detailed written interpretation — in a supportive, one-to-one environment.
I support students preparing for a wide range of GCSE texts, including Shakespeare, 19th century novels, modern drama and poetry. Whether your child needs help developing written exam answers or understanding the context and deeper meaning behind key quotes, I tailor lessons to their exam board and pace.
Students often start with English Literature as an add-on when they’re already receiving support with English Language or another subject — and discover they benefit from the same calm, structured approach. I also work with students who are neurodiverse or highly anxious, helping them gain confidence and clarity with literary analysis.
